Description
The Plant
The POPULUS tremula ‘Erecta’ (syn. Fastigiata), commonly known as the fastigiate quaking aspen, provides an important structural and decorative element for any garden, whether large or small.
Indeed, this tree requires very little space. Moreover, it reaches a much lower height than the Italian aspen, for example. The trunks of specimens in the Vallonchêne Garden, which are a little over 20 years old, measure only about twenty centimeters in diameter.
Moreover, its matte foliage takes on interesting colors in autumn, ranging from red to yellow, including orange.
Enfin, en hiver, ses branches dénudées très verticales accentuent sa silhouette fastigiée.
