El CORNUS x rutgersensis ‘Celestial Shadow’<\/strong>, tambi\u00e9n conocido como cornejo de Rutgers<\/strong>, sorprende por su follaje muy luminoso, verde con un borde bastante amplio de un amarillo muy vivo<\/strong>. Normalmente, esta coloraci\u00f3n solo se encuentra en los cornejos en flor de Florida. <\/p>\n

    Como se mencion\u00f3 anteriormente, los CORNUS x rutgersensis se obtuvieron mediante un cruce entre CORNUS kousa y CORNUS florida, fruto del trabajo del Dr. Elwin R. Orton Jr. en la Universidad Rutgers<\/a><\/strong> en los Estados Unidos. De hecho, su investigaci\u00f3n se enfocaba en la creaci\u00f3n de cornejos m\u00e1s resistentes a la antracnosis y a los insectos. <\/p>\n
