This European smoketree (Eurasian smoketree, smoke bush) is a new cultivar. In spring COTINUS coggygria ‘Old Fashioned’ has pink / red shoots. When its foliage has reached maturity, it takes on a very particular pretty green color. In fall, this shrub turns into a real firework display with its foliage taking on flamboyant colors in orange and red.
